【影片簡介】:
中年大胖子 Marcos 是墨西哥軍方一位將軍的司機, 入職整整十五年, 深得其家人的信任。Macros負責接載將軍的女兒Ana到妓院接客, 這項活動對Ana來說, 只是打發時間的消遣. 「Battle in Heaven」 是墨西哥導演 Carlos Reygadas 的第二部作品, 他的處女作 「Japon」 (天地悠悠) [2002] 獲得各界很不錯的評價, 但相信誰也想不到他的接力作竟會是一部「四級片」無格仔的大膽電影，在電影的開頭和結尾，安娜給馬科斯口交。
含劇情描述 故事看似吸引，是吧？但拍攝手法絕不雅俗共賞。導演的視點永遠集中在Macros身上，一切觀點由Macros出發。Macros的視點經常四處漂移，觀眾如不明白導演的用意，一定被似是而非的畫面所悶倒。片中大膽的性愛鏡頭，更是叫人咋舌。一切如此坦蕩蕩，影像粗疏，沒有一點修飾，導演你想表達甚麼？
電影以兩幕 Ana 替 Marcos「口交」的場面開始和結束~ 這兩幕看似相近, 但實在有著明顯的分野: 開始的一幕 Marcos 木無表情, 「陽具」戴上避孕套, Ana 雙眼流出淚水; 結尾一幕兩人無遮無掩, 兩人面露笑容, 更互相表示愛慕.....假如這兩個幾乎沒有場景的片段是出自 Marcos 的想像 (或發生在電影原名中的 「天堂」), 那麼前者就代表了兩人生前無可打破的隔膜, 後者就是兩人死後可以真心相愛的幻想.....
性, 就如導演所言, 是人類生活其中一個重要的環節, 每個人一生都會花上不少時間在性事之上, 電影一幕幕坦白的性愛畫面, 甚至只是導演其中一種建造角色的手段..... 「Battle in Heaven」 是一部出色的電影, 不是因為它毫無掩飾地把性交畫面展露人前, 而是因為導演成功運用多方面的, 象徵性的, 暗喻性的手法, 把一位在墨西哥城犯下殺人罪的低下階層漢子所感與所想, 含蓄而有力地告訴願意細心觀察的觀眾.....
【Storyline】:
A working-class man named Marcos and his wife kidnap a baby for ransom money, but it goes tragically wrong when the infant dies. In another world is Ana, the daughter of the general for whom he drives, who does sexual acts to any man for pleasure. Marcos confesses his guilt to her in his troubled search for relief, and then finds himself on his knees amid the multitude of believers moving slowly toward the Basilica in honor of the Lady of Guadalupe.
